Wing Haven | Charlotte, NC
Wing Haven is nestled in a neighborhood called Ridgewood Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina. The street housed two extraordinary women ten houses down from each other, both named Elizabeth. Winghaven, curated by Elizabeth Clarkson, is a wildlife and bird sanctuary. Down the street, Elizabeth Lawrence built a garden in bloom no matter the calendar day, and, in her office facing the garden, quickly became a renowned horticulture writer.
This session was so special; Hannah and Joel are some of our closest and dearest friends. Not too long ago, they had asked my husband and me to be Cormoran's godparents and we absolutely adore that boy with everything that we are.
We explored the gardens and truly soaked in our time together, before running off to Chez Marie for what I believe must be the best pastries in Charlotte, NC. I especially enjoyed wandering through the cozy, book-lined house of Elizabeth Lawrence, sitting by her typewriter at the window & catching C's curious eyes sweeping through the corners of the home.
